Nice place, Good food, Staff were reasonably accommodating, okay experience! We went here looking for some food before attending the "west wycombe chamber music festival" the place seemed very nice. At first we were turned away as the restaurant part of the pub was apparently fully booked. Luckily my Dad was a performer at the festival and the performers had booked a big table the staff seemed stressed by us jumping on the end of the table they faffed trying to find us some spare chairs in the end they managed to find some albeit that they felt like they were going to fall apart. Other than this and the toilet being outside. The rest of the visit was good the food we had was really nice and the bar staff were really friendly.
Perfect weekend away, lovely location, great food and service. Room was better than expected for a Public house Hotel. Will definitely visit again.

Nice rooms, great pub and decent food. Friendly and helpful staff. Only let down was the room could have been cleaner.
I was given the opportunity to stay here for one night and wow. The service is top notch, the restaurant and pub is brilliant, the WiFi is strong, and the location is so nice. I strongly recommend if you are looking to get out of london to see the countryside.

Went here on our wedding anniversary, lovely atmosphere and love staff. The duck salad was so delicious and the rib eye was also lovely big portions. Will come back again.
Good place for live music and friendly staff. Just need some vegan options on their menu to give them 5 stars.

The Chequers is a lovely family pub, I have been going there on and off for many years, the food is incredible and the staff and Landlady are very welcoming and easy to talk to. Highly recommend for lunch and dinner as the quality of food is excellent at a reasonable price.
Great little country pub. Good beers, good pub food, not all poncey, just good pub food done well, good portions and a good price.

What a place! Stayed here the night before my wedding. Was beautiful and relaxing and the owner, Debbie, could not have been more helpful! Thank you for a wonderful stay and some great memories with my bridesmaids!
What a find! I can not recommend this establishment or its host, Debbie, enough. We stayed in the Indian bedroom, that had idyllic rural views at the back of the house. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the room spotless. It had a cosy home from home feel, not the usual adequate but barren feel you experience in most hotels or b&b. The deep roll top bath was very relaxing, fluffy white bathrobes were provided. Stunning attention to detail such as the stone carving of a woman supporting the basin and various interesting artwork throughout the property was delightful. The beautiful decor had a reassuring, warm, calming effect. A bottle of water, green tea and cafetière were made available in our room, oh and chocolates of course. Breakfast was delicious, set in the open plan living area overlooking a serene charming, quintessential English garden. I normally would have a continental breakfast but was tempted by the choice of cooked breakfasts. We stayed here as we were at a function near High Wycombe. Quite frankly though, this is an ideal romantic getaway destination. There appeared to be plenty of bridal paths in the area. As the city centre was only a 40 min train ride away you could even combine a shopping trip in the city, take in a show and return for a peaceful and restful night sleep. After a long day at work this would be the perfect place to relax and chill out and recharge in readiness for your next working day. We were greeted with a ready smile, from the very accommodating owner and perfect host, Debbie. I have a feather allergy and my partner a dairy allergy so we must have been nightmare clients. However we were made to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. Even to the point as the emphasis is upon luxury, the bedding was obviously of the down/feather variety. Debbie went out and purchased synthetic bedding for me even though I said I was happy to bring my own. If you are looking to stay in this area for business or pleasure, this is the place to stay. I am looking for an excuse to stay here again soon....

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Great location , lovely family run campsite, the owners are lovely , great to chat too , great walks around the area , crown pub nearby fantastic food , looking forward to visiting again
It's OK but for the price £20 you expect more, I have paid a lot less for better facilities. It would get 4 or 5 stars if it was £15
