Saint Lawrence Church

West Wycombe Hill, Church Ln, High Wycombe HP14 3AP, UK – 01494 713447

We attended the "West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival (Organised by Lawrence Power)" as my Dad was performing. Not the normal thing i would go to but was nice experience the church is set upon the top of a high hill with fantastic views and plenty of parking. There is lots to see around the area with the with the Hellfire caves nearby.

St Lawrence's church, up on the hill in West Wycombe is worth a visit. The interior is beautiful, with it's Egyptian style hall and Corinthian columns. The ceiling is superb. The "Golden ball' itself has seating for up to six people, and rumour has it that, the Hellfire Club, founded by Sir Francis Dashwood, met inside to play poker before going down into The Hellfire caves for something a bit more strenuous!.

Saint Mary's Church
